Program Highlights

Studying the past is vital to helping our society move forward. By examining the social, political, economic, intellectual, and cultural dimensions of history, we can better understand and evaluate critical issues in our contemporary world.

Through Bryant’s History program, you’ll receive thorough training in historical studies and develop your expertise in analyzing texts and events, understanding institutions, and appreciating the diverse cultural experiences of Western and non-Western peoples. You’ll also hone your writing skills which, when coupled with a business minor, will provide you with a unique interdisciplinary education for leadership positions across a wide range of fields.

Bryant’s small class sizes encourage critical thinking, social justice, and civic engagement. Tailor your course of study with guidance from faculty and work closely with a faculty advisor on a research or capstone project that could be presented at professional conferences, such as the New England Historical Association.
