“When you conduct research, and gain real experience, you’re not just repeating what you’ve learned. You’re applying it and synthesizing it. It’s the best way to really under¬stand something. One of the biggest things you learn is how to think outside of yourself and outside of your own biases and predisposition.”

“No other school had a career program like Bryant’s. When I started looking for an internship, I didn’t know where to begin. I was able to sit down with one of the career counselors at the Amica Center, and they walked me through the process and looked over my resume. They were really helpful.”

Economic policy enormously impacts global markets, governments, and our day-to-day lives. As an Economics major, you’ll better understand some of the most complex aspects of modern societies and design solutions to challenging issues such as climate change, unemployment, food and water security, government accountability, poverty, and inequality. By learning how to “think like an economist,” you’ll develop skills to identify critical issues, devise policy proposals, and analyze these policies' intended and unintended effects. You’ll also “act like an economist” through real-world research, internships, and national competitions.
