Sonal Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Finance Department at Â鶹ӰÒô. Dr. Kumar received her Ph.D. in Corporate Finance from Concordia University, Canada. Her teaching interests include financial management, investment analysis, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and behavioral finance. Dr. Kumar’s research examines gender and racial/ethnic diversity in corporations, financial impact of inequalities against women and minority professionals and incorporating corporate social responsibility in a global context. Her research work received second best paper award in 2017 Indian Finance Association and has presented in academic conferences including Financial Management Association (FMA), Southern Finance Association (SFA) and Eastern Finance Association. She has been awarded several awards for academic excellence during her Masters and PhD program.
