Erim Ergene received his PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in May 2019. He received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and holds two Master of Science degrees in Management Science and Operations Management from Lehigh University and Bilkent University. His research interests lie around sustainability and grand challenges, behavioral strategy and strategic decision-making, strategic initiatives, and service firm operations. His teaching interests include Strategic Management and Operations Management. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked in the construction materials industry in Turkey for six years as a manager, and a second-generation owner, of a small family business.
